I've been a hardcore fan of the Marathon games since i was 8 years old or so. Marathon is an old Sci-Fi FPS game made for Macintosh (Marathon 2 came out for PC thou) This wallpaper was made in Photoshop and some 3D program (the landscape behind) i don't remember which one, so long time since i made that piece.
I used to play the HELL out of this game when I was younger on an old Mac Performa; it was the first game I ever got heavily into. I remember a friend and I once used the modding tools it came with to turn the Phfor's vocalizations into rediculous sayings. When they first spotted you, they would say "ME TARZAN YOU JANE", and when you killed them with the napalm unit they would scream "AAAGGGHH MY BALLS ARE ON FIRE!!!". Ahhh yeah. Good times. Great wall by the way!
Ahhh... those good ol' Marathon times are unphorgettable, aren't they? Thanks God that now we have Aleph One so we all can (just as the Marathon Aleph One team says): "Relive the dream"

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
